This is farewell to this site, I will not be checking back. I just posted at the new one. Gina set up a chat space for us to visit at. I love you all and hope we can stay in touch through the new forum and snail mail.

I just want to keep making cards to send to all my family and friends. Like all of you, I love getting handmade cards from you all and I keep them on display until the next batch arrives LOL. I also love sending cards and getting a positive response from the recipient. It is always an EGO booster.

Johanna I know you will love the mat. I absolutely love mine! Makes crafting life a lot easier, I can assure you.

Hope you all have a wonderful 2019 and look forward to hearing from you all. So happy to have such a great bunch of friends here. Hugs!!

Yes Johanna you will love your mat. The only thing I find problematic is that mine scratches so easy.

We had to get the new laptop last year and I really must say that I like the Windows 10. It feels more like the days of old. We skipped the windows 8 altogether. Now the way they force you to use the cloud is not my favorite thing but manageable.

It looks like to me that spell check had gone away here, so I apologize in advance for my poor spelling.

Wow, some of you have great new year goals for crafting and other stuff. I'm the same as both Judy and Bonnie - I am thrilled to receive a card made by a crafting buddy. In fact just receiving real mail is a thrill to me. I love Christmas and birthdays because I'm fortunate enough to have loving people in my life who know I enjoy a physical card so they do their best to send me one. For me the card is a gift.

I've been really lucky with my Xmas gift this year. I mentioned to my hubby that I liked the look of the new Tim Holtz glass media mat and thought it would solve a few issues for me and guess what he bought me .. yup the mat along with the additional tools that go with it. I am thrilled. He also gave me a couple more of those brushes that you shared with us Bonnie. Now I have no excuses for not doing nice inked backgrounds.

I do have to clean up my craft room as my crafting table has stuff all over it from doing the Xmas cards and I have dies that have to be sorted and put away. Haven't felt much like doing that as yet but hopefully I will get to it later this week. Stamp'n'storage had a sale on and I took advantage of it and ordered the paper holders that will fit my Ikea unit along with another ink storage unit. Hubby had promised me when we first updated my space that I could have all these but I hesitated due to costs. Taking advantage of the sale means we save quite a bit including free shipping so am excited about that. And like you Judy - I may have to bite the bullet and get a new computer which I am not happy about. I hate upgrading my computer as it means I have to learn new software which, these days, I find difficult.

So my friends, Happy New Year to you all. Thanks for being such great buddies on line.

I have so many goals for 2019 - if I get to half of them, will be awesome!  Want to stamp and color more, do more backgrounds, use more patterned paper, and starting this week, make a card from each of my stamp sets.  They are numbered, so will start with the first one and work my way through them!  I’m not making kits for the gals in my card group any more as was taking all my time, so hoping to take more time with the cards I make, adding that extra little special embellishment or bow, etc.  And mail them!  To friends, family, etc.  Wishing everyone a very Happy, Healthy, New Year!  Hugs!

I want to start using my Distress Oxide inks more. They are so pretty and blend so well and are just sitting in their rack. I need to start using my pattern paper too. And then I ordered more in the recent sale. I just can’t seem to help myself.

I’m always so excited when I get a card from one of my stamping buddies. Like you said Bonnie, it always looks better in real life. I set my cards on my coffee table so I can enjoy them for a while then I put them in a special box so I can go back later and look through them.

My BFF got me a Recollections rolling cart with 10 drawers, so I’m hoping to get that put together and start reorganizing my craft room. I just found another file tub to store my card stock. My tub with GKD card stock was full to overflowing. Now I can order more of the new colors. Lots of ideas, we’ll see how they pan out in the new year.

A new computer is probably on the horizon for me, though I hate to spend the money. I'd rather spend it on stamps. But I’m getting a lot of “not responding” messages and when the Task Manager is not responding, something’s gotta be wrong. I hate to spend the money, but it’s driving me nuts and it seems like it’s extra slow today.

Those are just some of my goals for the new year. Happy New Year everyone.

Happy New Year!

Lisa, something to think about is that if you post a card for your brother, or any one for that matter, and they see it on line, it is nothing like getting it in the mail and holding it your hands. Lisa Babitz posted one this year and when I was the lucky one to actually get it, well I was so excited. It was so much prettier IRL and knowing the world had seen this creation but I am the ONE holding it in my hands, that is special. Just a thought.

What kind of new years ideas are on your minds? I am hoping to start incorporating more unique colors. I have tons of pp and don't use it like I could/should. I just worked on a card with purples and added a very dark green multi color pp for the base. Never know what I might come up with now that I have given myself permission to wing it and no more coldoring in the lines, as far as color goes.

Happy New Year my wonderful stamping friends!  I just have to brag a little....I just ordered some of Gina's Sale items on her new site!  It was not hard and I only had one small problem.  I just have to remember to click on the "PayPal" button, and then they will ask information about my Visa!  I can't believe that I did that without messing anything up!  Easy!!  Also, I had to leave the computer for a few minutes while ordering and when I came back my items were still in my cart!  I really love that part of it!  Sleep tight tonight and wake to a very Happy 2019! Hugs, :)
