Measurements:For this card, start with quarter sheets of 8 1/2" X 11" card stock and find your favorite die shapes. Cut two and that will be the card base. You can embellish the front using smaller sizes of the same shape like in this card project. Dies used for this project were the Petite Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities in the Large size for the card base and both large and small Petite Ovals for the focal image and layer pieces.

Card stock- GKD Kraft, Ivory and Pumpkin Spice
Ribbon- GKD Kraft Double Stitched
Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers
Cuttlebug
Nestabilities Petite Scalloped Ovals Large, Plain Ovals Large and Plain Ovals Small
Scor-Buddy
Adhesive
Glue Dots

Thank you for sorting out that technique for me,I have never made one and was hesitant to try for fear of an awful mess with regards to the 'joint'-which opens all possibilities as to whether it opens vertically or horizontally...oh btw I love your site renovation-so easy to maneuver...always learn something here...I've got my eye on you;)

Thank you for another marvelous idea. I intend to use this technique to make some Thanksgiving cards and this gets me so excited. Since I enjoy making fall cards because of all those lovely fall colors, it will be so much fun.
