I love the scene you created.  Thanks for showing us that we don't have to get all "clutched" about coloring.  It's about enjoying ourselves.  I need to be reminded of that quite often.

Your technique is just fine.  It's true that there is no right or wrong way to do art.  I'm pretty sure that my instructors in college, an art school, would probably not agree.  They seemed to think that everyone should be the same kind of artist that they were.  I was definitely of a different thought!  By the way, I pretty much do the same technique that you do.
