Watch these two videos for more info on how I achieved the oval:

It starts at the end of the first video and goes through the second. Hope that helps.

This is another wonderful project and you can make them for so many things. The only thing that I do not understand is how you made the oval label. I know you cut several pieces out, but am not sure how you got the piece with the word journal and the pattern pieces cut. Sorry.
