How to: Emerging Corners Technique with Wild at Heart

Today Melanie shows you how to make “emerging corners” with her Wild at Heart set.  The partial inking or embossing of one or more corners (or top and bottom as shown in one sample) of this bold reverse image flower frame will add a lot of style and interest to your cards, and create so many new layouts, with ample space to showcase your favorite images and greetings in the open area.  So many options, you choose how thick or thin you want your corners to be!  She uses the perching butterflies from her Stately Flowers 10 set, perfect for resting on the edge of these stamped reveals, and finishes with simple coloring with the coordinating inks pads and a water brush. Please enjoy this clean and simple design!

I love the landscape card, but they are all beautiful. I have this set and will definitely try it. Thank you for a wonderful idea.

Thanks Melanie for the advice. I'll see how it turns out. I do love the look of the red one so that may be my first try :). Just want to say thanks for sharing all your videos you do.

Thanks,e veryone!

You certainly could, Julia. I just think this way is a little easier and less messy, saves you the extra ink and paper, only what you need.  plus it was fun creating my own torn edge with the ink, feels like painting. I hope you'll give it a try, but whichever you prefer!  Either way, i had never tried using just the corner of this video and with tits border and reverse image, I loved the look! :)

Love the technique. Could this have been done by tearing a piece of paper to fit the gap as a mask and then just stamp all at once?

Cute cards; like them both, but maybe A better.  I really like the green one.  Thanks for the idea (I've never heard of emerging corners, so I'll have go give it a try).
