Faux No Line Watercoloring Technique with Alcohol Markers

You will “flip” today for Melanie’s faux no line “watercoloring” technique, using alcohol markers and, wait for it… regular printer paper! Just stamp, color with alcohol markers and flip for a gorgeous impressionistic image on the reverse side that looks hand-painted!  This technique is so forgiving and makes it much easier to see your lines as you go to determine where to add shadows and detail.  White accents added to the finished side at the end really make it pop!  The containers in Melanie’s Buds and Vases stamp set work fabulously with all the flowers in her Stately Flowers line, so have fun mixing and matching!  Be sure to watch to the end to see the coloring on the back side of her jar card.

I love both of them! I would love to see how you did the water in the jar as well.

Fantastic idea! I love the no line but was so intimidated by it and this is something I can get into. THANK YOU!! so much. I also have the original rubber set. Love both examples.
