Sorry, I  missed this question- no, they are the same. The don't say alcohol markers on the package.

Comment by Linda Duensing on September 30, 2011 at 4:01pm

Gina - I just purchased the Bic Mark-It markers, but the package does not indicate they are alcohol markers.  The package looks exactly like the package that you used on your video, except mine is a package of 24 instead of 36.   Should the package say alcohol markers?  Thanks.

Gina,

you are the best for sharing this. with the economy right now I don't have a budget for cards anymore. My husband wants me to buy food instead. lol where are his priorites? this marker technicque will allow me to keep stamping even though I only have 5 copic markers and 1 blender pen! thank you so much!

Sharpies will work.  I have had better results from the Bic Markers myself but everyone has their favorites. :)

Comment by Rosanne Sahai on September 8, 2011 at 4:53pm

This is so cool, I can get some Bic to fill in my missing copics. I wonder would Sharpie's work?

I love this project Gina!!!! I will have to look around for stores that carry the Bic Markers.

Thanks for bringing this to light for us.   :- )

This video is the perfect timing for me to see.  I have the Bic Markers that you are showing.  I went shopping yesterday to look for alcohol pens because I am just starting and wanted to try them.  I also do not have Copic Markers yet.  Thank you for showing us how to use these!

Gina, you are truly the angel of the crafting world. Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge. You are my favorite instructor and I have learned so much from you. I'm loving this new technique and will share this with my granddaughter who hasn't been allowed to use Grandma's copics.

Really cute card.  It's so nice that you take the time to show some of us who have limited income how to still be able to be creative for less.  Thanks so much.
