Hi Sharon: It is good to be home although we did have an awesome vacation. Thanks for your lovely comment on my When I'm 64 card. I didn't really have time to finesse anything much and was just glad to get something done in time for the challenge. Still have to do one for the previous week hopefully later today so I can still be in the yearly challenge.
Thank you, Sharon, for your sweet comment on my vellum card. My vellum was curling up and I was determined not to have to use brads or anything to keep it down so I tried the double sided tape on the white and was so pleased when I couldn't see it! So was very happy with the end result of the card :-)
Thank you, Sharon, for leaving the kind comment on my split negative card. It was funny. I started out with the intent to make a retirement card and I wanted to try this technique - which I had never tried before. I chose the image, because I thought it would work well for the technique and I chose blue because of the sky. But, by the time I was finished, I looked at it and had the same thought as you - this is a card for a baby boy!
Hi Sharon, thank you for your encouraging words of wisdom on my card for this week's challenge it is most appreciated :) I know my comment about vellum sounded a bit odd, but was the first time I have ever used it, I think the look is starting to grow on me a little maybe I am one of those who likes the brighter and bold look of things, lol :) Hope you have a great week ahead :)
You are so sweet Sharon - thanks for commenting on both my cards uploaded yesterday. I love that seed head stamp as it is so versatile in what we can make it look like. And my challenge card was fun to do especially when it comes together more or less like what I had in my head. I checked your blog and will likely keep those measurements handy for when I try to make something similar. Thanks
you are welcome Sharon - I'm retired so probably have more time than you do which is why I can comment on most of the cards. I also believe that encouragement helps us to improve so I make an effort to do it. That said whenever you do comment I am always very appreciative and I don't sit here expecting anyone to comment.
Hi Sharon, firstly thanks for you lovely comments on my shopping from the heart bag. I had fun making it, but the tricky part is in getting the edges lined up and glued shut. Sticky fingers ensued - lol. Secondly I just adore that circle step baby card you have made it is awesome and I also love the one with the dragonfly too. YOu are very talented.
Thanks so much Sharon - I have now viewed the it and found it most interesting. I know that if we have a significant investment in something then another outlay is a big expense so it needs to be given careful thought but in my case I don't have a full set of Copics, just a few and I have the basic set of N.N markers with no watercolour markers at all. The idea of being able to make my own is quite appealing. I appreciate your help in finding the relevant place on Facebook.
No I didn't see the video you mentioned and I'm not that good at using Facebook either. I often can't find what I want. If you have a link to it I would happily use it as any idea to get the colours I want would be interesting to me.
Sharon I just noticed you won the Mod Squad challenge but I couldn't comment for some reason. Anyway I wanted to say Congratulations on your win. I was over the moon when mine was picked so I would imagine you are that way too.
