This week's Mod Squad Blog Challenge was to use three bright spring colors and create your own background paper using stamps. I decided to use the large flower from Melanie Muenchinger's A Year of Flowers 2 stamp set and do an emboss resist technique for my patterned paper. The spring colors I chose were honey mustard for the plants and grass that have not gotten over the harsh winter; wild lilac was used for the purple of hyacinth flowers that are so fragrant each spring and Easter season, then ocean mist to remind me of gentle spring rains. The greeting "celebrate" on the outside will follow with "your special day" inside the card are from Theresa Momber's Celebrate the Season stamp set. Thanks for looking and it's a glorious spring day in Pennsylvania.
