Like most everyone else here, I have a full time stressful job. I have a husband and two lovely daughters, who add immeasurably to my life (and sometimes stress!). I have always taken the time to watch a beautiful sunset, listen to books while I drive so that I can enjoy my commute, but I still never find time to get into my craft room. I don't get enough time to follow my inner designer, but have vowed to increase its importance in my life.
When I am feeling uninspired, I make most of my own designed paper using alcohol inks, stamped designs, or embossing. Just the act of creating these is relaxing and gets the juices flowing. Then, when I have a little more time, I have an arsenal of components that are waiting for their next destination.
Coming to this site, I have gotten a tremendous amount of inspiration and energy. I tend to visualize things as a whole, not in bits to be assembled, so I have tried many new techniques presented here as a challenge. I try to use techniques tools that I haven't used in a while just to get back the familiarity with them.
Thanks for the inspiration as I take this journey!
