One of my dear friends will be participating in a walk for breast cancer later this month and I wanted to make a special card just for her. I used Asela's Zoo Animals set to create this card. The animals are all paper pieced using two different colors of pink, textured card stock. I used the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder for the background, a piece of Basic Grey DP from the Lemonade paper pad for the ground, and the MS Branch punch to create the trees in the background. I folded the pink ribbon embellishment by hand. For "HOPE" I used my QuicKutz (yes, I dug it out of my closet, blew off the dust, and used it! LOL!) and "for a cure" is computer generated onto the CS. I added some pink rhinestones as my final touches. I can't wait to see my friend smile when I give this to her :)
This card was also created for the Just Us Girls (JUGS) paper piecing technique challenge for this week! This is a new blog that will be inspiring the stamping community each week with a new challenge! What a fabulous group of talented ladies! If you would like to check it out and/or play along, you can visit here: JUGS
