Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

As a member of August's Center Stage Spotlight Design Team here at Stamp TV, I am so excited to preview the new stamp set by Asela Hopkins called Fruitful Harvest! This set is absolutely gorgeous and includes beautiful fruit and floral images along with the most perfect sentiments. I have already created several cards using this new set and I will be sharing two of them with you tonight! Thank you, Asela, for bringing us this new, fresh, versatile set!

The first card I am sharing with you tonight was created with the pears image. I started by stamping the pears with Memento ink in Rich Cocoa onto a piece of Gina K's Pure Luxury card stock in Ivory. I colored the image with Crayola colored pencils and blended the colors with OMS. I then cut out and embossed around the image. I left the image inside the tool and sponged around the border with Stampin' Up! ink in Old Olive before removing it. I then stamped the "Hugs" sentiment from this set on the side. For the base of my card, I used a piece of the Indian Corn DP which is exclusive to Gina K's Signs of Autumn Stamp TV kit. What an awesome combination of colors in the piece of paper! I bordered the DP with Gina K's Pure Luxury card stock in Green Apple and the new Pumpkin Spice. I also used the Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice for the Fleur de Lis pendant, which a added under the corner of the pears. I then finished the card with some sheer ribbon and a copper square embellishment.

The second card that I am sharing tonight is using the grapes image. I think the grapes are my favorite stamp in the set! I colored the stamp with my Memento markers in Sweet Plum and Bamboo Leaves, and then stamped the image onto Gina K's Pure Luxury card stock in Soft Sand. Using a sponge with very large holes and the ink pads in the same colors, I filled in the image. I then got out my Stampin' Up! ink in Close to Cocoa, and I used the same technique to sponge around the edges of both the image and the sentiment. Isn't the quote that Asela chose for this set perfect? I stamped the quote using the Memento ink in Sweet Plum. For the base of this card, I used another piece of DP from the Signs of Autumn Stamp TV kit called Plum Weave. I think it coordinates well with my project. I bordered the DP with the Pure Luxury Soft Sand card stock (with some sponging) and then bordered all three pieces with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss card stock. I then went back into my Signs of Autumn kit for the jute ribbon, which I absolutely love, and the twine to finish my card. My last detail was a vintage pearl button from my grandmom's button collection, which I sewed onto the card with the twine.

The bow treatment on your first card adds such a vintage feel and the distressed bg on your second card is such a compliment to the aged look of the grapes and sentiment squares~very Tuscan! You did a wonderful job on both cards!
