Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

I feel so honored to be a part of this super talented group of ladies! Don't miss any of the team's blogs, they will be full of wonderful inspiration.

The CSS Alumni were challenged to create a card or project using the sketch below.

You should have arrived here from the very talented Sharri Seffen's blog:

Here is what I came up with

First I stamped the star from Tami's set Stars with Memento Cantelope ink, but it wasn't bright enough, so I colored it with a Sakura Stardust copper pen. The flourish from Nina's set Grand Damask was stamped in Memento Paris Dusk and the solid lines colored with Sakura Stardust blue pen. The tail of the star panel was punched with the corner of a square punch. The sentiment tag is stamped with Paris Dusk ink then cut out with a Nesties Labels 17 die with the top cut off and more Stardust copper pen used on the little star. The little star didn't have enough definition, so it is outlined with a blue gel pen. The checkerboard is a border punch layered 2 times with the ribbon from Mike's $ bin across the middle. After laying it out, it still needed something so I added the little dots with a blue gel pen. Dimentional adhesive squares were used on the star, the star panel and the sentiment tag.

Stamps: Nina's Grand Damask and Tami's Stars

cs: Gina K Pure Luxury White, In the Navy, Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango

ink: Memento Cantelope and Paris Dusk

accessories: Sakura Stardust gel pens in Copper and Blue, blue gel pen, square punch, border punch, Nesties Labels 17, dimentional adhesive squares

Hehe...yep, it ROCKS alright! I actually squealed when I saw it! LOVE it! The color combo is FAB, and I love the star-flourish with the ribbon shape at the bottom of the focal image panel. GREAT card, Sue!
