Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Our eighth blog hop is a CAS Limited Supply challenge. If you arrived from Joy's blog, you are in the right place.

Here are the instructions we were given -fun, fun, fun!

Blog Hop Details:
Create a CAS card or project that contains only the following items and no others:
  • Your design must be CAS - Clean And Simple: lots of white or open space with one main focal point
  • One image
  • One sentiment
  • One layer card - your card base plus only one more layer
  • Embellishments - you can use any number of embellishments you want, but they all must be the same color.
I made two cards for this hop. First one uses the pumpkin image from Theresa's Fanciful Fall stamp set. I Cuttlebugged the bg, and quickly added a few swipes of Vintage Photo Distress ink, stamped the image and used EP and set with heat. I then bleached the pumpkin and applied Perfect Pearls. A little bling and it's done.

My next card started with a card base of Gina's Pure Luxury white CS. I scored it with my Scor-pal. I stamped the little girl from the Funny Farm set with black Memento ink and used EP and heat set. I colored the girl with Copics, on a Nestie die cut, edged with a black marker. I popped it up , added some felt flowers and voila!!!

Just love both of these cards. The pumpkin card is great for a masculine card. The other one is just so sweet.

Using the bleach technique was an inspiration; it adds color without really 'brightening' the over-all feel of the card. I love the imagery, fantastic job on the brick wall - hadn't seen that EF before (or maybe I should say I hadn't NOTICED that EF before. It may be your treatment of it that's so eye-catching.) The perfectly applied black edging on the Funny Farm piece deserves praise especially, but the entire card is great. TFS your many talents.
