Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to another Center Stage Alumni Blog Hop!  You should have arrived from viewing Carolina's gorgeous creation!  Today we have a sketch challenge - the sketch is courtesy of our very own Melissa Cash.  Thanks, Melissa, for a great sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch:

Vase is from "Lovely Shelf", flower is from "Tropical Flowers", and sentiment is from "Masculine Messages".

I used the Perfect Pearls technique Gina demonstrated here.  I had a pot of "Perfect Pearls Copper" in my stash but wasn't quite sure what to do with it - thanks Gina for the awesome tutorial!  I didn't have any "Perfect Medium" so I used "Versamark" instead.  I think the effect would have been more pronounced with the "Perfect Medium" (will purchase some next order).  The technique is actually very easy and produces striking results.  The background of my image is not sparkly in real life as I rubbed a Kleenex over it as the last step.  Sparkles show up as the photo was taken in sunlight.  Don't use the Kleenex if you want it to sparkle more.

Make sure you leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (May 17th) we will choose one of the comments from all of the blogs.  Winner will receive a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!  I am last on the list today.  For a list of all of us participating in this hop or to start at the beginning, head over to the StampTV forum here.

Thanks for looking!
