CSS Alumni Blog Hop - July 13/12

Hi Everyone!

It's time for another Center Stage Alumni Blog Hop!  As I am starting the hop today, you should have arrived from the StampTV forum here. This time, we have a sketch challenge for you.  We were to create a card or project based on this sketch by Melissa Cash - thank you, Melissa, for another great sketch!  

 

This is what I came up with:

I used the rhododendrons from Melanie's beautiful set, "Stately Flowers 4".  Sentiment is from "Holiday Greetings".  Flowers were stamped with Versamark on pink vellum and embossed with white embossing powder; then coloured with Copics on the opposite side.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (July 17), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all of the blogs; and that person will receive a huge grab bag of Gina K Designs stamps!

Lovely card.  I need to get some vellum and try this technique.  I saw you used embossing powder but didn't know it was vellum until I read your notes - so sweet.
