Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the first CSS Alumni Blog Hop of 2013!  You should have arrived from viewing Brenda's beautiful creations at http://stamp-it-up.blogspot.ca/2013/02/css-alumni-blog-hopcolor-cha...  . Today we have a color challenge courtesy of Geri Utterback! Thanks vey much, Geri!  We were to create a card or project using pink and red with a neutral color of white, black, or tan.  I made two cards:

Stamps are from Tami's set "Happy Hearts" (recently retired).

Stamps are from Melanie's "Stately Flowers 4".  Card stock is GKD PL "Black Onyx" and "Passionate Pink".  I was inspired by a card Becky Oehlers created during one of the new release blog hops a few weeks ago.  She used white detail embossing powder to emboss the image on black card stock; then colored the white embossing.  I did the same here using the beautiful hibiscus images from Melanie's gorgeous set.  I used various pink and red Copics to outline the images.  Thank you, Becky, for the inspiration!

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! Look for the announcement on Tuesday, February 12."

Thanks so much for looking!  I am the last stop today.  For a list of all participating in this hop; or to start at the beginning, go to the StampTV forum here.

Hi Betty

Love your x's and O's background, real cool.  Is that a cuttlebug embossing folder?
