Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to another CSS Alumni Blog Hop! You should have arrived from the StampTV forum http://stamptv.ning.com/forum

Today we have a CAS (clean and simple) challenge. We were to create a card or project with lots of white or open space using one image, one sentiment, and one layer (card base plus one more layer). We were allowed to use as many embellishments as we wanted; but they all had to be the same color. I made two cards:

Image is from "Holiday Cheer" (one of my favorite sets) and sentiment is from "Holiday Greetings". Card stock is GKD 'All Spruced Up'.

This second card isn't standard CAS but I decided to keep it in as it is very "simple".

The beautiful butterfly is from Gina's "Hope is Faith" and the lovely sentiment is from Nina's set "Fanciful Tags". Nina's set coordinates with Spellbinders dies "Fancy Tags" but the many sentiments are gorgeous on their own. CS is 'Rocket Red'. This card is probably the fastest card I've ever made!

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on to the amazing Carla Suto's blog and see what gorgeousness she has created:

Both cards are beautiful. Who makes the border/embossing folder for the Christmas card?

Just love your white and green card. The embossing is extraordinary. Your other card is just so bright and pretty.

The cards are great. Love how the butterfly card is assembled with the overlapping and overhanging. TFS

Beautirul! I love them both. That said, isn't the red one more than two layers? Of course it's still clean and simple.
