Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hi Everyone!

It's time for another Center Stage Alumni Blog Hop! You should have arrived from viewing  Brenda Turner's  awesome creation!  So glad you are back, Brenda!  Today we have a color challenge for you, courtesy of Cheri Weston. Thank you, Cheri, for a fabulous color combo!  We were to create a card or project using yellow, white, grey, and one other color of our choice.  I made two similar cards:

Background and sentiment are from Melanie's "Wild at Heart", butterfly is from Gina's

"Take Flight".

I stamped the background in GKD 'Sweet Corn' ink and sponged in various areas with aqua and gray ink.  My gray ink is quite light and barely discernible here.  Butterfly is stamped on vellum and colored on the backside.  Card stock is GKD 'Moonlit Fog' and 'Turquoise Sea'.

Background and sentiment are once again from Melanie's "Wild at Heart".  Butterflies are from Gina's "Spring Mix".  I stamped the background as above and sprayed it with a fine mist of water.  Butterflies are embossed with gray ink on vellum, and colored on the backside.  Card stock is  'Moonlit Fog' and 'Turquoise Sea'.

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you leave a comment as you hop along because we will choose a random comment, and that stamper will win a grab bag of fabulous GKD products!  Look for the announcement on Tuesday, August 13th.  I'm last on the list today.  If you missed a stop or would like to start at the beginning, please go to the StampTV forum here.  Have a great week!

Love the color combo Betty. Second card with more muted tones is my favorite.

Your cards are so pretty, I really need to get this set out again!

Both cards are beautiful and the butterflies on vellum lend such 'a light touch,' very appropriate for butterflies.  Your background sponging (and spraying) are great.
