Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Several members of the Center Stage Spotlight Team have joined together to share a special Christmas Treat Recipe Blog Hop event with everyone tonight! They have whipped up some treats in their kitchens and their stamp rooms over the past few weeks so we could compile our very first Recipe Book for StampTV!

Here is my contribution to the recipe hop. I decided to make a candy box for the vanilla butter creams that I made. I used my Scor Pal and it came together so quickly. Gina K Rocket Red cardstock was used for the bottom of the box as well as the gift tag and ornate corner punches used on the lid. Tied the red bow with my new Bow Easy, attached some silver cord to the tag and laced it through the bow. The tag uses the Gina K set Signed With Love. I used markers to color the stamp. I highlighted the snowflake with Sakura Stardust clear glitter pen. Then punched it out and layered it on 2 different sized scalloped punches.

Vanilla Butter Creams
1 stick of butter
5 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup fresh whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 oz. chopped semi-sweet chocolate

Beat butter and half of powdered sugar with electric mixer. Gradually add cream, vanilla, remaining sugar, mixing well. Knead until smooth and roll into balls. Refrigerate.
Melt chocolate, stirring often. Insert toothpick in each butter cream ball and dip into chocolate. Set on wax paper until chocolate firms. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Check out these designer's blogs for the sweet projects they've designed around their treats:

Then, stop by GinaK's blog for a super sweet give-away she has tonight in honor of the hop!

The Recipe Book will be available as a free download PDF on StampTV tonight as well. Look for it on the Freebie Tab link.
