Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

This is today's card for Bill.  I tried out the tri-fold card style, and had to redo it because I took shortcuts.  Boo for shortcuts and wasting paper!  I'm not a fan of tri-fold cards because they won't stay closed.

I took a white card base and papered the panels with patterned paper from a pack (say that 5 times fast).  The pack also had tags, and I really loved the picture in one of the tags so I cut it out with an Exacto knife, and added some gold Pearls to different parts of the image.  I layered that onto some white card stock. I made the sentiment from a Michael's dollar bin stamp using a bit of ombre effect with Gina K's Passionate Pink, and Brilliance opalescent pink.  That's layered onto patterned paper and white card stock.  I added eyelets, colored floss, and dimensionals.

Thoughts:  Not a fan.  Because I could only add the adhesive to one side of the card, the panels bow and make the images curl.  I really took my bone folder to this thing too; rubbed it all over trying to get it all to lay flat.  Nope.  Also, I've got to do better about lining up the images when I'm trying to do that ombre effect.  My love is crooked.  I may try it again after I do some more research on making them because I really like the effect if it would lay flat.  I could also add some perforations to one of the panels and make it a bookmark.

I've been noticing little differences in Bill.  He woke up in the middle of the night and made sure I was tucked in with blankets.  I think these cards are making him feel loved, and he's giving it back to me in different ways.  Yay!  Win win!
