Gina has a challenge to create something that reflects one of our favorite summer memories.
One of my favorite memories is from when I was little, my kids will tell you that I am still little! My dad worked for a railroad and every summer they would bring out the old passenger cars that had been refurbished and treat the employees and their families with an excursion trip. We would board in our hometown and then travel to the northern end of the line, spend a little time… Continue

This has been such a fantastic experience being able to work with Melanie. I have so much to thank her for. First of all for this wonderful opportunity and second, because of Melanie, I have made a new friend right here in Bad Axe! Her name is Cindy and I had the priviledge to meet her about a week ago. She reads Melanie's blog faithfully and she recoginized my name because she knows my husband. Cindy, if you are reading this, I think that we are going to have a long and… Continue

Melanie is such a talented artist. Her stamp illustrations and her designs are amazing!
Whenever I see this set it makes me think of textures. I am constantly looking at items that could be repurposed for a card. I love to check out the aisles at our local dollar store for such treasures. On my last trip there I found a beach bag and some laundry bags that fit what I was looking for.
This card was… Continue

I was thrilled and honored that Melanie Muenchinger had asked me to be her Guest Designer for this month using her newest release Gifts from the Sea. This set has amazing, realistic images of sea related items: numerous shells, coral, starfish and wonderful sentiments.
The inspiration for this card comes from a picture that we have hanging in our pool bathroom that is decorated with shells.…

I just received Happy Hearts
illustrated by Tami Mayberry
in the mail yesterday and I couldn't wait to ink it up. I think I am going to get a lot of use out of this set.
I've made 2 cards already with it. Both cards are very quick to put together.
This one uses 2 of the larger hearts from the set and the large scalloped heart punch. Added red gel pen dots to the scallops. The bow was made with my Bow Easy
. The checked heart was stamped on pink cs and… Continue

Congratulations to Melanie
for designing 25 sets and 2 years! Melanie's stamps are all fantastic and I have a hard time picking which is my favorite. I decided on A Year of Flowers
The roses and leaves were stamped, then colored and cut out. All coloring was done with markers. The vase is a giga oval punch with each end trimmed off, then sponged with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. The Distressed Stripes CB piece was received… Continue

This last Gina K release was amazing! I was fortunate enough to win 2 stamp sets from the release challenges and I chose Tech Talk
and Life Is Good
is so great for kids and adults. I made a birthday card for my niece using this set. Striped dp was used for the wallpaper and I had to hang a little mirror on the wall. On the desk I stamped the little dog from Winter Friends
in the frame. The computer, mouse and picture frame were… Continue

Jessica has issued us another challenge, to stamp and color an image on dp.
My first card uses Gina K Winter Friends
. The snowman is stamped on light blue polka dot dp then colored with markers and a white gel pen. I added twinkling H2Os over the white gel pen for some shimmer. He is layered on navy cs and then onto a light blue rectangle Nestie. The holly on his hat is colored with Sakura Stardust glitter pens.
