Why Am I Up At This Hour??

Have you ever been woken up abruptly and couldn't go back to sleep, from a storm, noise, etc.?  This happened to me this morning.  I heard the sound of broken glass and then the vacuum at 12:30am.  My husband was turning the lamp off and broke a glass container…

The Heat Is Zapping My Mojo

Well, it finally happened.  I've lived in this house for 11 years and the air conditioner went out yesterday.  As luck would have it, it's in the 80's right now.  Normally I would love the warmer weather but not so early in the year.  There's plenty of time for it to be in the 80's.  Where is the nice, Spring weather? I have three dogs and I was worried that they would get too hot.  It was almost 80 degrees in the house.  What was I doing during all of this?  Making cards, what else?…

Nice Weather vs Card Making Indoors

We're finally seeing signs of Spring here in Lake St. Louis, MO.  The temps are in the 70's and low 80's.  This beautiful weather is trying to compete with my card making time.  I wish I could make them outside!  I sat outside yesterday on my patio furniture under the umbrella, there was a light breeze and no bugs.

Stamping and Daylight Savings

Well, another successful release party has come and gone and now all that's left to do is inpatiently wait on my order.  :)

I always want it immediately after seeing all of the beautiful cards the designers created and of course, Gina's videos.

Today is the last day of Winter.  Thank Goodness!  It seemed like the longest Winter even though it really wasn't a bad one.  I live in the St. Louis area and we barely got 5 inches of snow total.  The previous year we got over…

Melanie Muenchinger's New Book

This past week I received Melanie Muenchinger's new book and coordinating stamp set called, A Year of Flowers.  I've only made 2 cards so far from her book but boy was I impressed with myself!  lol  I've been wanting to take my cards to the next level and I think this book will definitely assist with that.  I've used the masking technique in the 2 cards I've made and the look is so impressive.  I hope everyone will order her book because it is so beautiful.  The pictures of the cards are…

This Is My First Blog Post

This is the first time I've posted a blog.  I am totally addicted to Gina's website as I'm sure everyone else is.  I started making cards last June.  I wanted to surprise some of my family members with my new craft.  Unfortunately my Grandmother died in June before I could send one to her.  I started sending my family packs of cards to use and they love them.  I try to make 1-3 cards a day.  I love Gina's videos and always try to CASE her cards.  I've met so many wonderful people on her site…
