Past & Present CSS DT Challenge Hop

Jessica has issued us another challenge, to stamp and color an image on dp.

My first card uses Gina K Winter Friends. The snowman is stamped on light blue polka dot dp then colored with markers and a white gel pen. I added twinkling H2Os over the white gel pen for some shimmer. He is layered on navy cs and then onto a light blue rectangle Nestie. The holly on his hat is colored with Sakura Stardust glitter pens.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great day and was able to share it with friends and family. We spent time with my parents and my sister and her family, and are full of turkey and pie! I did get in some stamping today, but can't show it yet. The past and present CSS teams will be participating in a blog hop tomorrow, then the previews from the new sets will start next week! Of course, the new sets are GREAT!!

Calendar Hop

Tonight we are featuring the new Calendar Grid and Calendar Bits and Pieces illustrated by Tami Mayberry. You can do so much with these sets, they aren't just for calendars.

First, I have made a calendar page for May 2010. It's my daughter's birthday month and her favorite flower is the tulip and my tulips tend to bloom in early May. She also has 3 sons, so she likes to see lots of pink whenever she can.…

sketch challenge

I made this card for this weeks sketch challenge which can be found here

I used Rupa's Retro Boutique. I cut the stamp of the shelf and 4 purses into pieces so I could piece it together differently to make it smaller to fit the size of my panel better. The DP for the panels and the pieced purses are from Basic Grey. The scalloped border is… Continue

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to give glory to His name.

Gina K Designs FIrst Customer Blog Hop

I made this card for Gina K's Customer Blog Hop using the Holiday Cheer StampTV Kit. I love this kit as the stamps

are cute, fun, and versatile. I used the reindeer stamp and two of the snowflake stamps from the Holiday Cheer stamp set. The embossing powder I used has tinsel in it so is nice and shiny in real-life but the photo didn't pick it up. The sentiment is from the Holiday Greetings stamp set which is also included in the kit. Over… Continue

Boy am I a dummy!

I didn't know this was here. It's so cool!

I feel bad that I don't have any stamps from Gina K. I do have some of her wonderful paper I use with my Copic markers and some other stuff I bought from her.

My budget is pretty tight since we took a hit with pay cuts at my place of employment. I'll be buying some stamps from Gina pretty soon I hope!

Happy Thanksgiving!

STV Member Blog Event

This last release from Gina K has to be one of her best. There is something for everyone.

I chose to use Winter Friends. This is a fairly simple card. I used patterned vellum attached to white cs for the backgrounds. The image is colored with markers. I layered 2 snowflakes, one white and one silver with Stardust Stickles on the silver ones.

On this card I also used Winter Friends as well as one of the borders… Continue

Vintage Border Blog Hop 11/18/2009

I am so happy to once again showcase a card using Asela's Vintage Borders stamp set. The versatility of this set is amazing.

I stamped the ornaments 3 times with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail EP. I then did the same with the scalloped border, cutting it out and placing at the top.

I stamped "peace" also from this set and used the pine branch from "Winter Foliage" as a background. I punched the circle and attached to the… Continue
