I was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We immigrated to the USA when I was 8 years old to Glenside, Pennsylvania. When I was a freshman in High School we moved to Florida and I have been here ever since. I met my husband in college and we were married in December of 1971. We have 8 wonderful children. Due to medical problems we could not conceive so all of our children are adopted. They are all different and have enhanced our family with their unique gifts. We now have 13 grandchildren some of… Continue

I just can't stop! I want to do all of the challenges and there just doesn't seem to be enough time. This weekend I made 4 halloween cards and 2 birthday cards. I only add them to the gallery if they are part of a challenge though. Now I have to stop for a while to get my lessons plans ready for tomorrow. What I want to know is how does Gina and so many of you other super talented people fit it all in? Does it just come to you in your sleep and you can slap it all together? I am amazed at the… Continue

Words cannot express how excited (and yes, nervous
) I am to have been invited to be a member of the Center Stage Spotlight Team
for StampTV! I so enjoy the encouragement and creative inspiration I've found in the StampTV community! I feel compelled to check in multiple times a day to see what you all have been up to in your creative lives!
There are far more talented card makers in this group than I....but I will try my best to try… Continue

I have two more cards that I have made using Melanie's Hip to be Square stamp set. This is such a versatile set and one I am sure you will add to your collection of stamps.
First up is a fun one "Waiting for Snow". Personally I could wait until a few days before Christmas, before we get snow-LOL.
Next card up shows Melanie's window from this set, in addition to trees from the Tree Silhouettes set. The sentiment is from Holiday Greetings. The… Continue

I am totally hooked on StampTV! I find myself checking out the website several times a day. I have been a stamper for about 6 years and had never tried to come up with my own design. I would look at all the amazing work of others and try to copy it myself. Recently I checked out the challenges page and decided to be brave and create my own. I then REALLY got brave and posted my card. Several challenges later and I actually won a challenge. I know that the winning does not mean that my card was… Continue

I was so excited that Melanie has chosen me to be one of her guest designers this month. I have had so much fun playing with her new set, Hip to be Square.
First up is a card for a new baby girl. I stamped her little face on the round stamped image and colored with Copics. I then made the flower by punching a piece of yellow CS (folded in half lengthwise with an oval punch, about 1/2 of the oval on the fold line. I inked up the edges and then made a pink flower, using the same method and a… Continue

I could never express the extent of my gratitude for all of the kind words and the sweet, sweet supportive ladies here at Stamp TV. I've even had people here check to see if I was ok if I hadn't uploaded a card in a few days! How cool is that!?

just a few things I did up this week, I am so happy for these sites that let women share their ideas for those of us who don't have time to come up with things on their own sometimes!

Just shifted house.... one rental to another - 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom.
In the suburbs - note here its cheaper to live in the suburbs than right in town here in NZ. (As a general rule but there are exceptions - but I don't want to live in a crack house to keep it on the cheap side) :surprised:
I have kind of set up my new craft spot.
Not exactly like I want it but I am slowly working it out where everything is going.
Instead of the lounge like the last… Continue
