Finally broke down and got some nesties,  Having a ball with them, and love the way they work over using punches.  No wonder everybody uses them. 


This site is absolutely what someone needs to learn, grow and become an actual "card Maker"   Love it.

Shabby chic for Donna's Challenge

Hello Everyone

I just want to thank all you lovely ladies that commented on my previous Shabby Chic card (pieced Flowers) today I am posting another that I thought you may like to see. I have made it for a friend who wanted to swap one of her CAS cards for one of my Shabby ones, I thought this was novel so I went with it, I am waiting to receive hers now.

Encouragement with Song

I made this card for the Stamp TV challenge of Shabby Chic.  I am not very good with that look but I did some distressing, added lace, ribbon and cording.  And I actually like the look.    The sentiment verse is by Doodle

Winner of the stamp sets on Facebook

I just checked facebook and StampTV had a link to see who won the new stamp sets...So I clicked on it and go to your website, and there was my name!!!! I looked and said to myself, "No, that just can't be!"  Then my next thought was 'well there's my name!' and Wow! I never win any of this stuff!  THEN--as I continued looking it says welcome to Stamptv (with my name right after)...and a tad farther down the page it announced the real winners!!!!   I need to quit entering to heart can't… Continue

got my order

yeah. !!! the order got sent out from Gina K on the 9th, and it came through customs, and to me in exactly a week instead of almost a month like the first one.  Actually, the paper was folded with no total showing so they just sent it straight through.  Gotta love it. 


Made cards of course last night and again, hubby was exclaiming on how clear the images stamp out. 


Don't even want to use the stuff I was using.  Seems so flimsy now, that am amost embarrased…

welcome to my blog

just realized we can blog here as well as my original one, so here we go.

in 2002 started making cards,and then quit but just making one here and there.  Was actually making candles and soaps and doing shows every week.  Then got other work but still did the candles and soaps.

Exactly two years ago hubby work up one morning (two days after a fall) partially paralyzed, was hospitalized for 6 months, and our lives did a complete turn about.

The card making came back into…

Back Again

Well, I am trying again. Since the last blog, I have lost my daughter to a heart attack, I cry all the time and I am making cards better than I ever had. I guess my senses are heightened and I see more beauty around me because of my loss. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I am trying to take a longer time and watching Gina being so meticulous when she demonstrates her cards has made me take more notice of how I am putting my layers together. Thank you, Gina. winter has almost arrived

hello  there.. havent  posted  a blog in ages... its  been a  sad time .. my beloved brother  died recently.. very hard  to accept since we only  met  8 years ago... but I treasure the times we spent together... and have  some very  happy memories of a gifted  carpenter... musician and best friend.

also my camera  decided to be difficult so I have had to wait until  I could replace it..

seems that birthdays and anniversaries are  coming around much faster these…
