RUBBER STAMP CONVENTION Deets!

Posted on May 9, 2009 at 4:00pm 0 Comments

Ok, I just got back from FOUR hours at the convention and it was worth going to. The favorites were there like Magenta, The Cats Pajamas and DeNami Design among others. They had tons of stuff to see and buy. Demonstrations were demo'ing on most corners showing brayer techniques, metal embossing, making glass tile bracelets after stamping your image, Flower Soft cards, Deco Art tags, and more. The prices were good to average price. The Nestabilites were regular price, but the small "day to day… Continue

Thanks for the comment on my card. I love to use the paper piecing technique. That work was tough to paper piece but it worked. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Olivia! Thanks for the welcome . . . I was smiling as I read your posts about the big garage sale the first Sat. in May, as I was one of the demonstrators selling there . . . it was a HUGE success, which blew our minds, considering the rain!! We actually plan on having another one in the fall . . . we always advertise on Craig'sList as well as all of us demos getting the word out to everyone we know - so I will take responsibility for letting this group know!
Nice to meet you! Janice

Thank GOODNESS I wasn't called in. I actually started my mom's Mother's Day card and really made some headway on it Sunday (I was oncall then, as well, but also escaped being called in). I only had a chance to spend about 5 minutes on it so far today (it is a bit of a labor intensive card...and it doesn't help that I got everything cut out and decided I hated the colors and had to recut everything lol). I am also oncall Mother's Day and that really irritates me since it was my great-great-great aunt that was the American Founder of Mother's Day (Anna Jarvis - you can read a bit about her here http://womenshistory.about.com/od/mothersday/a/anna_jarvis.htm ) If I can get the darned thing finished tonight or tomorrow AND I can figure out how to post photos, I'll be sure to share. I really like how it's shaping up. Wow, I hope you were able to read to the end! That was rather long-winded of me! :)

Thanks for the welcome!!! I don't know of any stamping events in this area, much to my chagrin. I'd love it if you'd keep me in mind on any events you hear about or any stamp camps. I am going to a Cricut Swarm in the Lincoln area on May 9th, I think.
