My Blog: Think Outside the Box

Christmas in July

Supplies: Paper: cherry cobbler, Gina K white  Accessories: sequins, Poppystamps eyelet stitches, Sizzix embossing folder, Tutti Frutti Merry Christmas

The CAS challenge on SCS is Christmas in July!  It is always great to have some Christmas cards made before the holiday season.  For this card I die cut the edge with the eyelet stitches die.  Then I partially embossed the corner of the main panel.  There were snowflakes on the opposite corner of this embossing folder as well.  I glued down the Merry Christmas die cut, and I added some random sequins to add some bling.  Lastly I adhered the panel to a cherry cobbler card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Terri

Hi Terri, glad you like that card.  If I remember right I smooshed 2 greens and a grey memento on my acrylic block and spritzed with liquid perfect pearls and just laid it on my cardstock.  Then I dried it and stamped the butterfly image on top.  I know it was very easy and quick.  Hope this helps.  My acrylic block has that shape.

Thanks for the info on the calendar holder.  I want to do at least one this year and maybe for gifts next year.

Your latest birthday card seems to have a gremlin and is taking us to another member's page!

This is soooo great! TFS! On my way to give it a try. I save the chipboard from between my cat's food, and now I can use them! I knew there was going to be a reason!
