I'm getting a Silhouette Cameo! Yay

Posted on August 10, 2012 at 3:11am 0 Comments

I am so excited!  I just ordered my silhouette cameo (in australia) for $349.00 (best price I've seen).  It will be posted on Monday, along with all the other goodies I ordered, a vinyl starter kit, a jewel starter kit, tools etc... I can't wait!  Thank you Mr Tax Man, I'm loving my refund this year!

In addition to that I've been on a bit of a shopping spree, I've ordered stickers from the UK, Lindys'Stamp Gang spray/daubers. I started with 2 two wks ago and now will have 20 when next…

Oh, so excited!  I splurged, spent more than I wanted to but unfortunately I can't get the clear gel pens any more as they're not being stocked now and also the 6pack of stamp storage folders has been axed as well. :o(  I've only had the opportunity to buy one six pack, which wasn't enough before this purchase... and now I'll have to buy them separately from now on.

But!  I did buy the petals and wings stamp tv kit, (free believe in yourself set), wild flowers set, a year of borders,…

Merry Christmas!  I hope you all got lots of little prezzies!

I'm waiting for my orders, 3 from GKD's site and also a grab bag prize...can't wait!  Thought I would get my first order (a whole bunch of nestabilities) on Friday 24/12 but no luck.  Now waiting for Wednesday to come and then I'm heading off to the post office in the hopes that they'll have some packages waiting for me (that would have been delivered to work if I wasn't on holidays).  I hope, i hope i hope they have some…

It's Great To Be a Crafty Shopaholic

Fantastic!  For months now I've been moaning how much more hassel it is to cut squares and rectangles by scissors, and so difficult to get them straight.  Well, tonight I started researching paper cutters and at one point I suddenly stopped and just thought about it for a minute.  I went for a search in the corner of my office and after pulling out the laminating machine and lamination pouches - which I'd remembered, and the…

Thanks Karen for the lovely comment on my Doodle Butterfly card. I do like to do flowers that way now and then and it is one way to get more mileage from a solid stamp image.

Thanks so much Karen!  Glad you like my 'You make my heart bloom' card!  It has taken me all week to think about what stamps I could use as I don't have many suitable for Valentine's day

Karen, have you tried putting a piece of waxed paper between the die and the cardstock? Sometimes that helps get those fussy little pieces out. Also I've been told that a thin shim (thinner than you would use to emboss) helps. I have a thin metal plate that I use with some of my non-spellbinder dies. Also, sometimes giving the piece a 90 degree turn helps, though that's sometimes difficult when you're cutting a large piece. I spent my birthday money on a Grand Calibur last year and use it for the larger pieces, but I still like my Cuttlebug the best.

Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my Lauries Moddy Thanks card and hope your weekend is a great one. The grid was a extra little panel that was included in an order awhile back and it seemed to fit perfectly with my idea. Glad you liked it too!
