Hi Karen, thanks for the comment on my gold vine card.  I have to admit I had hard time getting the angle right also, I tried several times and went through a lot of paper.  What I ended up using was a protractor and drawing small lines on my paper and then cutting it.  I'm sure there's an easier way to do it, I just don't know what it is.  Hope that helps.

Hi Karen, and thanks for commenting on my "birthday blessings" card. You asked about  the embossing and how it's done. On this particular card the white layer was first embossed with an embossing folder (like Cuttlebug, Sissix, Darice or other brands).  If you look closely you will notice that the particular embossing folder that I used was designed to emboss only part of a piece of cardstock. On the part that wasn't embossed by the embossing folder, I used a Spellbinders Labels Eleven die to emboss the area where I stamped my sentiment. Check out Gina K's videos in the technique archives on how to use Cuttlebug folders and Spellbinder's dies. They are wonderful learning videos. Hope this helped. :)
