Thanks my friend. It took a long time for the card to come together, but I like the result myself. Doing the tail for the mermaid was so fiddly but I got the look I hoped for.

Hi Judy, thanks so much for commenting on my challenge card for my brother's birthday.  I'm surprised that I am ahead of the game since his birthday is not until the end of the month.

Thanks so much Judy - I'm glad you like it. I had a lot of fun making it although it did take some time pausing the video each step. Better than making a mistake though and the 2nd one I did was quick and easy. I did have trouble uploading though. Ning didn't go through the usual steps and I had to add details after the images appeared to be saved. Initially I thought they weren't saved at all and I tried a 2nd time with the same result. Ended up deleting a few pics and then added the details. Maybe others are having some issues uploading. I sure will be glad when the new website is up and running as it may prevent some of these small glitches.

Thank you for your lovely comment!  I wish I had lightening bug stamps for the jar, but dragonflies were as close as I was getting.  I didn't think of the flash as looking like lightening bugs.  I didn't leave a comment, but love your fish card with the acetate.  It looks pretty neat.

Judy, thanks again for your comments and sympathy.  I have been working there for 10 years and got to know this woman and her daughter, who is probably in my age bracket, during that time.  It's a heartbreak to lose people like that but it's part of life.  BTW I am still not getting comments posted on my page.  :-(

Thanks so much Judy. it was fun trying to create something similar to Melanie using the year of borders stamp set. Am trying to do a few Xmas cards with one of the borders at the same time.

As usual you have given me some lovely comments on my two new uploads - nautical and the acetate Christmas ones. It is always great to see that others like something I've created and of course I know I can rely on you to say something nice and most often being the first to do so. Hope you are having a great weekend. We are off boating for a couple of days soon so if I'm off line for a couple of days that will be the reason. No service at our planned destination.
