Aloha, Joan! I miss you ♥ I hope you are doing ok! Thank you for commenting on the canoe cards. Yes, I tried to sketch them out on a paper with a pencil until it sort of looked like humans in a canoe lol. Then I used a Memento black marker to add them to the cards. I guess her uncles are in 3-man outrigger races in Tahiti. Can you imagine? Not me. I think we should get a trophy every day we brush our teeth. Love you lots and thank you for the encouragement!
Hello Joan, I do hope you are well, this has been an horrendous winter in Aus, the flu epidemic hit our community pretty hard, not many of us were lucky enough to escape it.
Thanks as always for your lovely words, praise from you is high praise indeed. I am beginning to get back into card making, its amazing how one forgets the simplest things, what took me just minutes seems to take hours!
Roll on summer... no doubt hen it will be put on the air conditioning its too hot!
Hello Joan, just taking a moment to refresh your amazing gallery... you do have some fabulous works of art, I just love your whimsical cards you really are ACE at colouring you little figures.. I am hopeless with that, never seem to stay within the lines.! thanks as always for your generous kind words on my latest efforts, I haven't used my numerous dies in such a long time, thought I would go through them and start again!
Many thanks Joan for commenting on my vintage rose card. I agree with you purples and any variation thereof mean spring. It is my most favourite colour and lavender is my favourite scented flower. I also agree that winning is nice, especially if it helps to get a coveted stamp set. But for me just posting and getting comments is a bonus and very gratifying when others who do great work think that something of mine is good too. You have some wonderful cards in your gallery.
Hello there Joan, thanks as always for you kind words on my emboss resist card... I love the GKD stamp set so I treated myself to it!
Yes, I made the teddy bear, hand stitched and embroidered, for myself, then the girls wanted one each!... I wanted to make it in the original cloth... Doctors flannel.. finally found some in a Fabric shop which has since closed down.. as much as Miss Ivy Jayne loves her... this little teddy stays here with me... lots of memories stitched into her!
