"I called the company about loosing the tackiness of the mat and all they could tell me was wipe with a non alcohol baby wipe or send the mat back to them so they could see why it was loosing tackiness. I put my first paper on and it was not…"
"Jane, yes, that is fine - I use mine for basically stamping and direct cutting. For intricate cuts I like dies. A lot of it is just experimenting - depends on paper, blade setting, and what you are cutting. I do find that I…"
"Jane and Jayne, I used the Cricut Mat on the original "red" machine, so not sure if will work on the new machine. I have finally used up my old Cricut Mats and now only use the SNC ones, from Amazon, purchase via…"
"Jayne, you can use the Cricut Mat, just be aware that it will pick up the lines. If you are just scanning an image and then use the arrow keys to narrow down to a simple area, it is fine. If you are scanning several different items, would be a…"
"I never thought about using tape, that's a great idea, thanks Diana.
I've only had my SNC a few weeks but I found it lost the sticky within just a few hours of using it. I've tried rubbing it with baby wipes (this seems to be the most…"
"Thanks for the info..I did try spraying tacky adhesive..did not work for me.....will try washing it with a scrubbie and will try my cricut mat also when I get back to stamping in a few days. I too use it to cut out stamped images from Gina. Have not…"
"I have not tried this myself but I 'heard' on a Youtube video that you can also use the spray on tacky adhesive. My mat was actually too sticky and I used my EK powder tool so it would allow me to pull up my cuts without tearing them. Good…"
"Jayne, yes Cricket mats will work also. On my SNC mats I scrub them with a mesh scrubbie and warm soap and water. This adds some tacky back. However, have found easiest way is just tape my paper on with painters tape or Washi tape would also work. I…"
?1-Anyone have any tricks to re-generate the tackiness of the mat??. It seems to loose the tackiness too quickly. Yes I cover the mat with the plastic they give you and clean it off with the spatula.2-Will the cricket mat also work?See More
"started using my machine.....LOVE IT! Just will not cut from paper with a busy background or from a stamped image that does not have a well defined border. So if the image is "sketchy" it will not work. But I was able to cut…"
I called the company about loosing the tackiness of the mat and all they could tell me was wipe with a non alcohol baby wipe or send the mat back to them so they could see why it was loosing tackiness. I put my first paper on and it was not that sticky, but after cutting it, I tried to remove the paper and the paper totally stuck to the mat and would not come off. I scrubbed it with a baby wipe and then I had no tacky left at all. Was really discouraged because this was my first time using mat. Not quality of cricket mat.
