"Hi Cheryl, I did the wax paper resist (or embossing) and then just stamped the white embossed butterflies,etc. It really came out very strikingly on its own :-)"

I have had to do 5 baby cards in the last 3 months. So, I tried this technique and stuck with it. The base paper is either pink or blue cardstock with the wax paper resist technique. The fireflies are embossed white.

The bow appears a tad large in the picture. It was actually a double loop and looked really nice...at least before it went in the envelope!

"I embossed the image with white embossing powder and then I painted in with these pearlescent watercolor paint pots. I believe I got them at JoAnns. The embossing keeps the paint in the lines."
