Hazel Basnett's Groups

Its been a busy time... but managed to make a couple of cards for my christmas in between  Doctors appts.. they are  a pain but  necessary... hopefully  all will be well  after  reveiw today.

christmas is coming

now I have  my stamps from GKD and raring to go ... so have  started with  a group of 6 for my soprano friends...i just love the feel  of  christmas  coming.. anticipation from  all those years ago.. watching  my  mum  making the mincemeat for  pies.. and christmas puddings with silver threepenny bits in there.. ( one for everyone) we always thought it was  just pure luck!.. and oh the excitement of hanging  one  of  my dads socks  on the end of thebed... and we were thrilled with the little presents and oranges/ nuts / crayons and books  in side on  christmas  morning.. unlike today  where pillow slips are  the go and presents downstairs too.. just goes to show  how much more affluent  this generation  is.

I cant sleep.. so Have come down to  see if making a card will help... cant believe christmas is just around the corner.. I am itching to try  out  the christmas stamps from GKD..

little Malachi.. his  welcome  card

this card  is  made for the soprano's in our community choir.. I have collected  all the we can celebrate  each  one as it comes  up... (just another excuse to make more cards... .... its   addictive)
I just love this  bright and cheerful  tangerine colour.. and wondered if  icould put it with pink... hmmm not  bad.. gotta  be  more adventurous with my colour schemes.

Hazel's little creativity haven!

What a busy  year already... Happy new  year to all you lovely  ladies  who, like me, are addicted to crafting/stamping and just feeling  creative.

my little family  is growing,  we have GGD number two,   Ivy Jayne, the most delightful  little imp, already  loving to draw

and play with  her crayons..

who can believe how  quickly the years are flying by,  I wonder  how I found time to go to work!

happy crafting  to one and all.

the New year 2013

Well here we are  in  another new year... so much has  eventuated  over the last 12 months.. one twin GD married.. the other became a mummy.. I am so thrilled.. another GGD Ivy Jayne.. after my foster mother  Ivy.. I predict that Ivy will be the new  Fave  name for 2013.

my rock  David.. and I celebrate  48 years  this  year.. where have the years flown to?... and I reach  the next big milestone  of 70... (can that be right )  yes... it is... so much more to learn...

I wish…

Nope, no Big Shot, I only have a Cuttlebug.  But, that is good to know, for others with that machine, just saying....

I am thrilled whenever anyone tries a tip that I leave, it validates my ideas, or accidents, in this case.  LOL  It was a total fluke that I discovered it.  But, hey, most great things are accidentally found, aren't they?  Glad you like using it.  It is pretty nifty, isn't it?  LOL

Hazel, I am so glad you did that tip with the magnetic sheet.  I have been using mine forever, and I don't waste a thing.  Funny, it was a total accident to find out that tip, but, it works like a charm, doesn't it?  YAY.

Hi Hazel, Thanks for commenting on my 2012 thank you cards.  Feel free to CASE.  I made a rectangle template out of cardstock and sponged inside it.  Then I stamped my 3 inside trees. Then I removed the template and stamped the main tree. Very easy and I actually did about 5 variations.  Some had wooden birds on them too.

Hello Hazel!  How is everything down under in Salamander Bay?  Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment on the sympathy card I made the other day.  I always enjoy reading your comments.  Have a happy, healthy, creative week!
