Doily Thanks -- Mod Squad Challenge Blog

Posted on November 10, 2014 at 5:01pm 1 Comment

Decided to jump back into stamping and play along in a challenge with the Mod Squad Challenge Blog's challenge hosted by Donna to include a doily.  I didn't go to Grandma's Attic but rather to my stash and found a paper doily and decided to begin making Thanksgiving cards.  My card includes Theresa Momber's Heartfelt stamp set for Gina K Designs.  Also used Gina K's Pure Luxury pure ivory and honey mustard cardstock as well as Gina's Autumn Landscape designer paper pack.  A few misc.…

RedWhiteBlue Stars -- Mod Squad Challenge Blog

Finished off a card for the Mod Squad Challenge Blog's Patriotic Thank You Challenge made with very little stamping.  Punched out some circles and stars used Gina K's rocket red, in the navy and pure white cardstock, cuttlebug's star embossing folder and a sentiment from Quite a Catch.  Simple but kind of cute, too.  …

Father's Day Triple Time Stamping -- ModSquad Challenge Blog

Posted on May 19, 2014 at 11:17am 3 Comments

Decided to play along with the Triple Time Stamping challenge hosted by Judy Woodland over at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog challenge.  I really do enjoy this technique and have used it a few times.  This time, however, I decided to do a scene and I may have gone a little overboard on my birds....a little Alfred Hitchcock.  This one's going to my son in law for being a great dad to my two wonderful little grandchildren.  …

:Playing along with the Spring Color Challenge over at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog.  I used Gina K's Pure Luxury cardstock in Turquoise Sea, Wild Lilac and Pure White as well as the designer paper from the Shabby Spring paper pack. I probably should whisper and not even post that my stamp is from Inky Antics.  Yikes I feel guilty posting it here.

Have a great day.…

Spring Three Mod Squad Blog Challenge

Posted on April 14, 2014 at 1:51pm 0 Comments

This week's Mod Squad Blog Challenge was to use three bright spring colors and create your own background paper using stamps.  I decided to use the large flower from Melanie Muenchinger's A Year of Flowers 2 stamp set and do an emboss resist technique for my patterned paper .  The spring colors I chose were honey…

So kind of you to leave me the supportive comment. It was fun to mix stamping with watercolors and heat embossing. Not something I usually do.

Hi Gayle, thank you so much for your sweet comment on my Twine and Sunflower card, so glad you like it. It seems like I've had that little flower punch forever. Have a great week.

Hi Gayle, thanks so much for your sweet comment on my challenge card. Those pumpkins are such fun to color and I'm really enjoying doing them with the no line technique.

so pleased you like both my twine cards this week Gayle. Have to say that I must be mad to do the twine on the Christmas tree. I almost threw the card out of the window in frustration when the twine kept unwinding even though I had added scor tape to the back. The owls were much easier even though I fussy cut. I did some in purple and pink too but haven't finished that one yet.

Thank you, Gayle, for your sweet comments on my twine card. I would not have got the crisp clear image without the help of my Misti. Such a very handy tool. I really appreciate your support! Have a great week!

Thanks Gayle for your wonderful comment on my Green Jacks card. I'm so glad you're liking my Halloween cards. I'd be happy making Halloween cards all year round.

Thanks Gayle - glad you like both my masculine entries this week. Had fun making them. The border on my autumn one is like Peel offs but mine are from Holland. My family send things like this to me sometimes which is fun and when I visit I go mad shopping for other craft supplies at the local markets.
