Thanks, Christie, for stopping by to view my Christmas Poinsettia Border card and leaving such a lovely comment. :)
The tags were for a tag book challenge, so they go in the pockets of the book that I made, I don't know if you saw the book closed, but it was fun to make. It is going to be a gift for a friend of mine this Christmas. The challenges really do help you to expand your crafting skills! You will enjoy them when you start doing them!! I am glad you like some of the things I have made!! This site will really help you grow fast, so be prepared!! LOL!
I won my first and only challenge with the card Christie! I was shocked! Not that you really win a challenge because of your card, they draw names! LOL! The card was fun to make, and I love the little penguins, they are so cute it make any card easy!!
I am glad you like my Christmas House, it was so much fun to make, and not hard at all! You would have a lot of fun making those, they come as a plain paper mache house, and you just decorate them. I had so much fun making the house, I had to make the snow yard also! LOL!
Thank you for asking me to be your friend! I am excited to take this crafting journey with you! How Fun!!
Christie, do you like the Ciao Copics? I have never used those, I know they are less expensive than the other Copic brands, so have considered it, but haven't bought them. Let me know what you think.
Have a fun crafting day today!!
Christie, I have been an "outsider" on this site for a few years, but it isn't until around August that I started sharing my cards, because I didn't feel confident enough in my card making skills, I was like you, I didn't feel like I was "good enough!" Sharing your work really does make you feel better about what you do! You get people's feedback, and it makes you feel better, you get advice, so don't be afraid to share! It really does help you grow! I never dreamed I would be brave enough to do it, but now I really enjoy it! You will too, when you are ready, just don't be afraid! What do you like to use to color in your images? Do you use watercolor pencils, markers? I like both, I do not have the expensive Copics, I found a box of 36 Bic markers at a Costco, and have loved them! Gina did a webisode on using them, and a Copic blender, so then I did get a blender, but I have used the Bic markers for about 4 or 5 years, and they are still like new! Just thought I would share that with you, in case you are trying to figure out what to use? I also like Sakura Glitter pins, they are really glittery, and really highlight part of a card when you are looking for a bit of sparkle! Have fun, and enjoy this wonderful hobby!!
Hi Christie, I have been thinking about you, and wanted to mention to you the paper crafting place that got me started about 10 or more years ago, and that would be Paper Wishes! If you type in that name into AOL, it will come up. They are another fun company, and they have a free catalog that they will send you. They also do webisodes like Gina K does on Wednesdays. I thought you might enjoy that since you are just getting started. I don't know why I got a catalog from them so many years ago, but they introduced me to paper crafting, so when I see someone new starting out, I always think of them, since they got my feet wet in the paper crafting world. Please feel free to ask any questions if you have them, I am excited for you, because I know how fun this hobby can be! Blessings!!
Christie, I am so glad that you are loving this hobby! I have been enjoying this hobby for more years than I can remember, and it does just get you! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't either think about making a card or make a card! I am so glad that your husband is supporting your hobby by making you a crafting table and shelves! That is wonderful! You will love this site, and it will be a wonderful help to you in your learning! If you need any help, be sure to ask anyone, everyone is very helpful! I am anxious to see your beautiful creations, be sure to load them in your gallery!
