Hi Becky! Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Open Book one layer card. I really loved your card on your blog, and went to the GinaKDesign store and bought the Open Book cut file. I already made a couple of cards, not posted, using cardstock variations. But, until Gina posted the one layer card Challenge did I think, hey, I can use that for a template and enter the Challenge. Now, suddenly my perfectionism hit me, and I rarely do a card re-make. BUT: Did you see the other card I re-made? I struggled with the coloring on the first card (the one you commented on), bcause I envisioned an hombre sort of look: so I did a re-make (I know, EGADS! LOL) with one color only, and top to bottom light to dark. I like it much better for my original idea, but I do LOVE both cards. I try to think of at least 5 different ways I can use an image before purchasing. It was an idea someone else mentioned and I adopted, because my eyes glaze over and I don't think past "Oh, I want that!" on most occasions, so I have to watch my budget, and be able to utilize a stamp or image or cut file for other applications. Except Halloween, which is kind of special to the grandkids, so I indulge a bit. Although, I did place a ceiling on that holiday as well. I posted over in Cameo Projects several Halloween cards, if you would care to go look, I think you will like the cards. Well, I am so happy with my Becky Oehler's Open Book cut file, and I will be posting some more different looks. Thanks, friend from New Jersey! LOL
