"Perfect! Love how you let the flower image just be and gave it some shadow on just one side. Thanks so much for joining in my Challenge for the Mod Squad this week. Good luck and hope to see you again. Barbara DT Member"
Thanks Barb - I'm glad you like my April in Paris card. I forgot to add the song inspiration in the description but have since done so. It fits 2 songs actually - an oldie called April in Paris and also Taylor Swifts more modern song called Love Story. It was a good opportunity for me to use the die as I've had it a long time and never put it into use.
Your words on my Smell the Sea card made me feel really happy. That mixed media panel is the last one from a larger panel I made some weeks ago and I was wondering how to use it. I got lucky with the sentiment and it felt as if it had been written just for this challenge. The bubbles some from Designs by Rynn and I love those stamps and use them a fair amount.
When i get a comment from someone I admire and whom I consider very talented in card making; it simply makes my day. Today I find not one comment but two and I so appreciate what you wrote. Thanks a lot Barbara.
For the texture challenge, I rubbed three colors on the embossing folder, flat side, in an ombre effect then once the white cs was dry embossed I rubbed the darkest shade directly on the embossed cs. More on one corner and shading across. Really fun to do and never get the same results. So many colors to combine and doesn't take a ton of folders to have endless fun. Thanks for the support on my efforts.
Thanks Barbara. You are always so supportive of any effort I submit and I'm happy you like my two go for the gold entries. I'm learning to improvise with supplies if I don't have something I need to finish a card. Sometimes it works, sometimes not but better to try in my opinion. I forgot to add MSC to my Vintage trees entry and this one is totally GKD. Not sure how to edit it so that this is included? My mistake and not a big deal so if it can't be altered no problem.
