Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

For the "Mix it up Monday" challenge this week Regina really made me think with her statement of, look around you. She is so right, it's there if you choose too, or in my case think too look. LOL. So here is my entry. I used the colours in the image and the french door as my inspiration. I scored lines to resemble the door, (a bit hard to see) and I used a flower stamp from Hero Arts and my sentiment is GinaK. I sponged distress inks over the heat embossed flowers and tied a blue spotty ribbon (like the cushion) to finish it off.

Awesome card. I love that you saw the orange in the picture. I was going to use that too, but my card took me to all the blues in the other pillow. Love the torn paper.

Kerri, one word, super cool gorgeous, ok 3 words.  Love the bright color combo you used, the torn paper effect.  The white against those bright colors just pops!  The embossing was a great idea.  You just nailed this challenge.  Thanks for playing this week.

Love it! The torn paper is a really nice touch and I like the texture of the "windows" peeking out of the background.
