SPRING IS IN THE AIR - STV12MON17

Love this challenge. I used my scraps to create this card. I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the window curtain. I used a clear glitter pen to spice up the curtain.I used a stem from a silk flower for the rod and added flower brads for the ends of the rod. I had designer paper with iris flowers .. I cut them out and glued them to baby blue cardstock. I made my own window frame & stained it with Jim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. I made the white beadboard wall panel with white glossy photo paper & ran it thru a stripped embossing folder. I used GK's Lovely Shelf stamps by Nina Brackett for the Lamp & sentiment. Also, used an old stamp I had for the potted tulips & added pop dots to add dimension. This was a fun challenge.

Hi ! Lynn..Thanks for your nice comment.  I made the window frame  with white cardstock measured 2 rectangles and cut it it my fiskars cutter. the window sill, I cut a thin rectangle cut sides to create dimension.  I used Jim Holtz vintage photo distress ink to mimic the wood stain.  I hope this helps

Swoon . . . THUD!  This card is beyond amazing, Elizabeth.  I love every detail.  And what a stroke of genius to alter the sentiment in script that matches so well.  I had to stare at it for several seconds to remember that the original sentiment didn't have the word "day" in it.  How in the world did you make that window frame look soooo real?!  Great work!!!
