This was a fun challenge, but part of the challenge was getting the slot cut just right and getting the pennies to stay together. And amazingly, it does move and spin! The sand dollar has special significance for me. My mom and I collected a lot of them on our last trip to Florida and made a lot of ribbon strips with the Legend of the Sand Dollar to use as gifts. I used Melanie’s Gifts from the Sea set. The CS is from my stash and has a kind of mottled design. I used the sandy speckles from the set stamped all over in Kraft. I was just going to layer the panel with slider over the matching card base then I decided that I needed something for contrast, so I found a piece of blue to depict the ocean. I cut a frame using Matting Basics B. By cutting out the center of the blue, I still had the sand behind the slot. I stamped the Sand Dollar with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics E33, E35, E50 and E53. The sentiment is also from Gifts from the Sea stamped in Dark Chocolate.
