Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Both backgrounds were done with Distress Inks on water colour paper by sponging then spritzed with water. Cut out small half circle to tie the twine around. Water coloured the turtle and fussy cut him out then added dimensionals to pop him up. Sentiment was heat embossed in blue and then I sponged edges. I added a few clear nuvo crystal dots for bubbles but they don't show much on photo. Made for the Double D challenge -

This is perfect!  I love your ocean background and that majestic sea turtle!  Clever idea to die cut the semi circles to add the twine, which is a great nautical accent in itself!  And I have always loooooooved that sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Double D Challenge Blog, Nautical, Donna, DT Member.

Great nautical theme for your card, Johanna.  Your watercoloring made  your scene very realistic.

What a great nautical card. Great coloring on the turtle. Great water background too. I like the crystal dots for the bubbles.
