Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Stamp sets used are Fabulous Frame (shortened) and Festive Frame from Melanie Muenchinger, Dashing by Theresa Momber, Winter Wings by Asela Hopkins and Claire Brennan’s Compliments of the Season. Stamped the frame and snowflake with Distress Ink Candied Apple. The decorative snowflakes were embossed with VersaMark and Recollections Tinsel Ruby. The cardinal image stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers R29 Lipstick Red & R39 Garnet (January’s birthstone). I fussy cut the image and it's hard to see but I pop it up with pop dots. Bird’s beak was done by touching a Copic colorless blender tip to the R29 marker tip; tapped off onto paper first before using on the image to get a pink effect (although in reality the bill should be a yellow orange color) oh well. Embellished with Nuvo drops. CS I had on hand.

How lovely!  Your bird is precious, and I like the way you used the frame.  :)

Gorgeous card Kathy. Love how you used the frame stamp and then added the candy cane effect. The Cardinal is lovely and who cares if the beak isn't exactly as nature does it. Purple owls don't exist either - lol.

Fantastic way to use the frame set and leave the bottom for the sentiment area. And your coloring is fantastic! I never would have thought of making it a candy cane but it is so perfect for the Christmas season.

Lovely card. Great coloring on the bird. I like how you turned part of the frame into candy cane stripes.
