Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters
Dance in the Rain
For this challenge, I thought I'd try making a masculine card, so I broke out a couple of Timmy stamps and picked these two from the Purely Random stamp set.
I used the DCWV Heirloom stack for both the background paper and the Polaroid photo blank.
I started with a kind of caramel-colored paper and ran it through my Cuddlebug using the Swiss Dot folder and layered a piece of pattern paper on top of it. As you can see I stamped the umbrella man all across the paper with Tea Dye distress ink and layered 2 pieces of brown and cream colored ribbon on top before adding the photo blank which I stamped on with Vintage Sepia VersaFine, embossed the sentiment on, and then used the foam applicator to cover it in Vintage Photo distress ink.
Finally, to add a bit more dimension to the card, I put some antique gold brads into the corners and then stuck it all down to a rich brown card base.

Oooh thank you ladies for all your kind words, I've only really been making cards for about a few weeks now, I've always watched Gina's videos (well, least since I got into scrapbooking back in January this year) and looked at everyone's beautiful projects in the galleries and I finally decided to just jump in and get my feet wet with all these challenges! Thank you Kerri :) the texture on the photo blank was actually a happy accident from trying to lay it down straight on the panel, it was white but when I got the crinkles I inked it up and said "Texture! Yay!" Lol :)
