Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

I was in need of a sympathy card for a gentleman and I thought a nice scene card might work well. I wanted it to have a more peaceful look to it, and was not sure if the browns could be worked in that way, but I believe I did achieve that desired affect. I first took a negative from an oval die cut which I used similar to a stencil and sponged on the Gina K. Designs Kraft and Warm Cocoa inks for a background. I then used the Gina K. Designs Dark Chocolate ink to stamp the images from The Northwoods set by Theresa Momber. I added the sentiment from the Sympathy Duo set. My card base is white but I did adhere the scene to dark chocolate card stock from Gina K. Designs. I also stamped the corresponding verse from the Sympathy Duo set inside too!

I love it! The whole scene is comforting. Great technique. I will certainly be giving that a go. Thank you.

Beautiful. The sponging is so pretty, almost soothing. Very nice sympathy card.

What a great scene you have created here. And I love your use of that particular color, I would not have thought of it. Beautiful card, as usual.

Really lovely Verna. Yes, I think this card does exactly what you set out to do.

This is beautiful, Verna!  I really like your inking and having the tree and sentiment on both the white and the inked area is gorgeous.
