Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Here’s my entry for the Christmas in July challenge. The poinsettia from Pressed Flowers 2 was stamped in Ocean Mist. The outline from A Year of Flowers 2 was stamped in Blue Lagoon, fussy cut, then outlined in Copic BG09. I inked my snowflake EF with Ocean Mist before embossing – never tried that technique and I really like it. I used Blue Lagoon for the mat, using Claire’s idea of die cutting a piece out of the center. When I put the poinsettia over the embossed snowflakes, it just faded into the snowflakes, so I used the Blue Lagoon piece from the center over the snowflakes. Stamped the sentiment from Pressed Flowers 2 in Blue Lagoon and mounted all on an Ocean Mist card base. I used clear Crystal Drops in the center and Wink of Stella on the flower for a bit of sparkle. Fun Challenge and great to have another Christmas card done.

a blue Christmas card and what a lovely one it is. Actually this card would also qualify for the earlier challenge on song inspiration. Too bad you can't enter it again.

Love this color scheme for winter cards and your inked embossing folder layer turned out perfect!

Pretty card!  I like your idea of cutting from the center as it will not be seen.  I have done that but often forget.  Thanks for mentioning.

Great card and song, too. The colors all work very well together.
