Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Hey Y'all!  Cat here with a little pictorial of how I made my card's images look like 'Puffy Stickers'  as I call them!  LOL!  Hope you enjoy and give it a try!  I'd love to see and you can also post a picture of your creation right here in this thread if you like!

Ok lets go!

First, I used the following products:

heavy base weight in white

(always my go to ink!)

I used Apple Green as shown here and also Carnation Pink (not in the store at the moment!), and Red Berry.  This is what makes the image look like puffy stickers!

And the awesome Boho Flowers stamp set:

First, I cut my cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5, the usual A-2 size of card.  Then I began stamping my images:

I use my misti most of the time stamping now.  Because even if not using for lining things up, if it 'mis-stamps' as I call it its easy to 're-stamp'!   For this card I stamped all along the edge, and then as I stamped a flower, i also heat embossed it which I did not take pictures of.

Here it is all stamped and heat embossed!

Then I did some fussy cutting and cut around the flowers on the right hand side.

now the fun part!  Painting with the Nuvo drops!  They arent just for making dots!  :D  I'm showing you here in this picture how much I would squeeze a line of before spreading it out.

And in this picture, I'm spreading it out, just to the edges, with a paint brush.  You can also using a toothpick!  That way if you are worried about messing your brush up, you dont have to worry!  I use the cheap brushes for stuff like this though.

one flower after painting the carnation pink part.  I think this stuff has a self leveling in it.  I do tap the bottom to kinda speed the leveling along a bit.  The heat embossing also helps to keep the nuvo drops in place.  I did want to mention, that I think Stickles would work too!!  I just didnt try it, but they dry kinda 3D too

lalalalala watching it

i decided to add leaves!

Ok, TA-DA!!

I left mine to dry overnight, then glued the leaves and added the black rhinestones and sentiments.  I put a curve in the sentiment by just curving it on the stamp block.  I also did the inside since you can see a little bit of it from when the card is closed.

Ok, that's all!  Hope you enjoyed  me sharing my little idea of 'puffy stickers' i had!  :D  I love sharing with y'all too!  Now, go get inky! It's FRIDAY!  YAY!

Neat idea!  I like the cut-a-way look on the side.  I remember Melanie using that technique in a video.

That is so gorgeous and gives that puffy sticker look for sure. I may have to try this myself soon. I also like how you designed your card. That is a fabulous layout.

Beautiful Cat!  I love the cut away on the front of the card and the Nuvo drop do make the images look like the puffy stickers! :) Thank you for hosting this weeks tutorial. <3

You come up with some of the est ideas.  Just like this one.  Fabulous!

Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing with us!

What a beautiful card--I love the way you cut away the side and the different way you used the drops.  Thanks so much for sharing!

Love it.  Fun look with the fussy cutting around the flowers on the edge.
