Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Happy Friday Everyone! <3

I love this new kit and  the Patterned Papers, it is hard to put it down! :)

So, I really enjoy looking at others creations and sometimes you see something and you want to do or use what the other person has done or used. Well, I have seen a wonderful design and said to myself… I can do that really easy with a punch I have.
So I dug through my circle punches and found a good size.  I used a 3/4” circle punch. You can play around with this design and adjust it using smaller punches or even larger ones!

Or You can use small circle dies also.

We will get started in just a moment but first -

Here is the list of items I used:

*Stamp Set - Bold and Blooming

*Patterned Paper Pack - Bold and Blooming

*Dies- from the Bold & Blooming Kit

*Pure Luxury Card Stock - White Heavy Base & Layering Weight, Black Onyx, & Turquoise Sea

*Premium Dye Ink - Turquoise Sea

*Twisted Twine - Black Onyx

*Fine Detail Embossing Powder - Clear

I also used - Versa Fine - Black for greeting and embossed with Clear Powder, and Memento - Black then colored with Copics - YG-67,  G-43,46  BG-45, 15, 13, 11 and Spectrum Noir CT-3, double Stitched Dies that Gina Carries in her store.

3/4” punch, 3D Foam Squares, Glitter Pen

Ok… So I took a piece of Turquoise Sea Card Stock and punched out 5 circles, I then pulled out my score buddy and placed the circled up against the straight edge

I used the largest rectangle die and cut out a piece of white layering weight card stock.

Used a piece of score tape and laid it on top of the circles if you place the tape down slowly and starting at one end you can adjust the distance some before sticking the tape down to it perminatly. You can also just add adhesive to the back of the layer you are attaching it to and place them down one at a time. Be sure to start in the middle so both sides come out the same!

After sticking my dots together, I Stamped the Greeting in Versa Fine Black Ink and Heat embossed it using Clear embossing powder.

Then I used sticky notes to mask the sides of this panel and stamped the image in Mementos - Black ink

Started coloring in the image using Copic markers. Colored are listed above. :)

After I colored I used my glitter pen to add some sparkle!  :)

I then played around with the layout some! Stamped a few Flowers from the set and Die cut them out, the PP layer is cut at 2 1/2” X 5 1/4” the Black layer is cut just a little larger to give me a tiny boarder.

******Ok, When You see the finished project the PP on the front has been changed… I noticed my circle border was crooked, and when I went to pull off the top panel it tore my PP. So I scraped off the pop dots the best I could and just added another layer of PP on top of the polka doted layer. Then I cut off the circle boarder and just added a new section of circle punched boarder on the back of the panel. Looks as good as new!  LOL  ******

and then wanted to finish off the inside -

The PP inside is 4 X 2"

Here is the Finished Card!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend.

Awesome tip! And the card is gorgeous

Beautiful card.  I always like the way you balance your beautiful stamped images and patterned papers and embellishments.  That is a skill I am still trying to learn, but I appreciate all your inspiration to help me to get better at it!  I also appreciate the tip on how to make your own scalloped border from circles.  Sometimes I wonder what to do with the small dies, and this is a great use for them and it looks so pretty!

So much to learn here and will be such fun to do.

I never use my small circle dies.  Going to try this today.  Thank you for the inspiration!

Yay!!!  I am so happy you all like this little trick!  :)  (((Hugs)))  Can't wait to see what you create using this tip!  <3  :)

Beautiful card, karen, I love the addition of the circles, makes the card even more eye catching, I think I will have to go away and try this out at some point :) Awesome :)

Absolutely beautiful.  You make everything look so easy.  Have a great day.

Wow! awesome card, great design and a good tip for adding the circles.

Adorable! Vey pretty.

This takes me back to my early days of watching videos and card making.  I learned to do this before having many punches and no die machine or dies.  Thanks for showing it!  Your card is beautiful.

Wow!  This is super awesome Karen.  You are amazing.  :)

Thank You, It was fun to do, and I figure there is always another way or kind of another way to achieve the same look!  :) <3 Have a great inky weekend!  <3  :)
