Card making, rubber stamping techniques and project videos for papercrafters

Happy Friday Everyone!  :)

I hope you all are ready for this Months Stamp Tv Kit Addicts Group Challenge.

It is a Challenge that some will find easy and some will have to think about!  :)

This month we will be using 3  Patterned Papers on our card!

It can be the same pattern used 3 times but Try to use 3 different ones!  :)

Let me know in the comments what your favorite style is…

Layers with some Patterned Papers or Clean and Simple?

Or if you have a different type of design you like.

Here are the Items I used for this card project:

  • Stamp Sets - Dazzling Dahlia  and Bold & Blooming (greeting)
  • Dies from the STV Kit - Sentimental Summer
  • Pure Luxury Card Stock - White Heavy Base  & Layering Weight,  Black Onyx, & Faded Brick
  • Premium Dye Ink - Blue Lagoon, Sweet Mango, Peach Bellini, Tomato Soup & Black Onyx
  • Pure Luxury Patterned Paper Pack - Petite Patterns
  • Fine Detail Embossing Powder - Clear

other items - Versa Fine - Black Ink, Foam Squares, black pearls

The Patterned Paper Top panel and Bottom panel are both  2” x 4” I made the layer (black) panel just slightly larger on the top and bottom, but is the same length as the PP layer.  The center panel is 2 1/4” x 2 1/2” then layer a black piece behind it. I have a small frame but you could make yours larger.  The Faded Brick piece was a scrap from another card.  I just made sure it was 4” long and fit behind the two panels. These were all scrap or left over pieces from other cards!  :)  I sponged the Blue Lagoon over all three panels.

For the flowers I did the rock -n- roll technique.

The greeting was stamped in Versa Fine - Blk. and Heat embossed with Fine detail Clear.  Popped up the flowers and glued down the stems. I added a layer of Blue Lagoon and White on the inside for some color!

Here is the finished card project! :)

I hope you will take on the three Patterned Paper Challenge! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Great challenge, Karen.  Love playing with patterned paper.  Your card is pretty.  I had to hunt for all three papers, but found them.  Neat design.

Love your card as always Karen, and boy this will be a challenge, if I can manage to join in cause since its usually a challenge for me to use one piece...let along three!  LOL  Love paper...just for some reason don't use it enough!

Just a thought to those who struggle with patterned paper, Tricia posted a few challenges where she was using pattern paper with a template.  Look for the 6 X 6 Extravaganza and the one that is Squared.  There are a few examples with 3 pieces of patterned paper.  I had fun with these when Tricia posted them.

Just thought some of you might like these examples along with Karen's.  :)

This challenge is awesome.  I will need to use my head a lot  on this one.  I don't use much patterned paper as a rule, but I will give it my best! :)   Your card is very pretty Karen! :)

Truly a challenge for me, I have been playing around with pp to get more comfortable using it but 3 will really test me, lol! Thanks Karen your card is stunning and a beautiful example!
Love the card! Have been trying to use more pp as I have a ton of it - will be a great challenge for me. I tend to be plain and simple! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!

Thank You Lisa, this is a great tutorial to refer to!  Thanks for sharing the post!  :). <3

I guess I do a bit of both, although I find clean and simple a bit easier. Thanks for the challenge!

I have not participated in any challenge yet, but I think I will give it a try. I have all the supplies. This will be my first, how do I go about entering, please enlighten me. Thanks

Here is a thread with helps for uploading a photo.  It might help.  To get the challenge code correct, I cut and paste the code in the TAG of the photo.  If the directions on the thread are not helping, ask again and somebody will answer your questions and help you.  We have all been new to uploading at one time and it can be a bit overwhelming.

I JUST DON'T THINK I CAN DO IT!  I truly am pattern paper challenged.  I only match my clothes because I wear a uniform scrub set to work everyday LOL.  I will try as it is a great challenge idea.  Yours is FABULOUS!  Going to be a rough one LOL

You CAN DO IT!!!!!  :)  I Just Know You Can!  ;)  <3
